Meet Katie Gordon, a lesson instructor and wonderful co-coach here at Bridle Path Quarter Horses. Katie has been riding for the past 25 years and has competed in various areas of horseback. She’s showed horses and has even done mounted shooting. For the past several years she runs barrels and even tries her hand in break-away. The guy she trailers around is ‘Bullet’ properly called Zan Par Tari. Together they have competed from California to Oregon in; Brn4d, WC4d, and to jackpots at rodeos. When she moved to Idaho, Katie joined the Brn4d, NBHA, and Prowest Rodeo. She’s competed in Washington, Idaho & Montana numerous times and has been successful at winning numerous 1d, 2d and 3d placings.
Along with competing, you’ll find her in the arena at BPQH working with students doing one on one lessons as one of our lesson instructors. She also co-coaches our Bridle Path Brats rodeo team, and will be returning for her second season with the team. All this while celebrating her 18th wedding anniversary this year, and raising 3 children ages 16, 13 & 10.
